Everyone’s safety is
everyone’s responsibility

At Expur, we believe that performance and progress cannot exist without a firm commitment to safety.

Our Safety Vision 2030: “Zero personal accidents, Zero environmental incidents”, is at the core of every decision, action and interaction within our company.

Safety is not just a business objective; it is a fundamental human value. We choose to put people first, because only through mutual care can we build a sustainable and high-performing future.

All our employees and partners are actively involved every day in improving safety at our industrial and administrative sites. Each year, our safety program is reviewed and enhanced to further reduce the number of accidents, by applying the highest standards and best practices in safety.

Our goal: 0 accidents.

Pillar 1

Preventing risks and continuously improving safety through sharing experiences and applying best practices, strict adherence to the golden safety rules and life-saving procedures, and strong safety governance at every site.

Pillar 2

Engaging managers through regular Field Safety Visits (FSV) to encourage safe and responsible behavior, ongoing training programs, and dedicated safety training for new employees.

Pillar 3

Enhancing industrial safety by integrating safety considerations from the very start of every project and investment. Beginning in 2024, the We Care 2 program expands this approach by embedding leadership and accountability in safety, and improving health and quality of life at work as key drivers of safety.

Safety Training

Expur employs a range of tools to ensure continuous progress in safety, from establishing clear rules and procedures, to regular training sessions and collective awareness campaigns.

Moreover, in all daily activities, especially at industrial sites, employees are trained and required to follow accident prevention procedures, regardless of their status: permanent staff, newcomers, temporary workers or external collaborators.

Nevertheless, since risky situations can still arise, every event that could have led to an accident, known as a “near miss”, is carefully analyzed, and key takeaways are shared with all teams to prevent future incidents.

It is a combination of collective and individual actions that enables progress in ensuring safety for everyone.

Investing in Safety

Every investment, whether related to maintenance or the optimization of industrial processes, is, above all, an opportunity to improve safety and ensure compliance with current legislation.

Safety and regulatory compliance are key criteria from the design stage onward. They are also fundamental principles in decisions regarding investments, maintenance, or technical shutdowns at industrial sites.

We invest continuously to improve performance and foster innovation at Expur, as well as to optimize management tools, ergonomics, traffic flow, protection systems and more. All these advancements enhance our teams’ wellbeing, ensure the safety of industrial equipment and employees, and help protect the environment.

Investments in modern equipment and technologies have a direct impact on operational safety, given the specific nature of the processes.

Automated detection and prevention systems (such as gas sensors, thermal cameras, emergency shutdown systems) can identify hazards before they become critical.

Smart alarm systems can alert operators in real time to any deviation from normal operating parameters.

Automated production lines reduce direct human interaction with hot equipment or chemicals.

Mechanical transport systems lower the risk of handling-related accidents.

Predictive maintenance technologies provide early warnings about wear on critical components (such as technical bearings, pumps, filters and more).
