Vegetable glycerin
Expur supplies crude vegetable glycerin, a by-product obtained from the biodiesel production process through the transesterification of vegetable oils.
Crude glycerin is a viscous liquid, ranging in color from dark yellow to brown. The glycerin produced by Expur has a minimum concentration of 80% glycerol and is intended for technical use, use in animal feed, or refining before being used in the food industry or in cosmetics.
In its crude form, vegetable glycerin has similar properties to refined glycerin: it can be used as an emollient, thickening agent, lubricant, etc.

Lecithin
During the refining process of crude sunflower oil, Expur produces lecithin, a natural, non-allergenic emulsifier.
With a minimum of 60% acetone-insoluble matter, it is the preferred alternative for manufacturers seeking a non-allergenic, non genetically modified solution, made from conventional seeds, as opposed to soy-based lecithin.

Fatty acids
Expur obtains fatty acids during the process of refining crude sunflower and rapeseed oils. They are used either as an ingredient in animal feed (sunflower fatty acids) or for technical applications: paints, varnishes, detergents etc. (rapeseed fatty acids).
